Central Bureau of Health Intelligence (CBHI), Ministry of
Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
States and Districts in India are experiencing similar problems in
the health sector and are looking for ways to tackle them.
There are many
good examples of health sector reform,
and lots of good ideas but until HS-PROD was developed, no easy
way to share this information.
HS-PROD aims to be an easily accessible way to publicise successes and share reform know-how to
solve common problems.

National Institute for Medical Statistics (NIMS), Indian
Council for Medical Research, New Delhi. They are also being
supported by the European Commission Technical Assistance
team. The database is regulated by a
PROD Management Group,
a group of health experts from the Government and
Non-Government Sectors, who approve each entry before
inclusion and meet quarterly to oversee progress. Since the information should prove useful to a wide
range of organisations, a variety of development partners may
eventually be interested in providing further management or technical
support, and/or funding.
